We were recently approached by South Kesteven District Council to assist with the clean up of multiple tipping sites including a site at Fulbeck, Lincolnshire; that had 50tonnes of waste needing to be removed.
Coming across a fly tip site that is on public land needs to be reported to your local council, this can be done online with or without uploading photo's.
If the tipping site is located on private land it is the owner's responsibility to remove the waste using an authorised waste removal company.
As licensed waste carriers we are able to compliantly remove waste providing you peace of mind that the waste is now being disposed of correctly.

What is Fly Tipping?
Fly tipping is when rubbish, which in this case is classed as any type of waste; is illegally left on land that is not licensed to receive waste. This has been a problem throughout the UK for a number of years, with a more notable rise during 2020 due to Lockdown restrictions being in place.
What should I do if somebody has fly-tipped on my land?
The first thing that you should do is not touch any of it as there is the potential that it contains something hazardous, you should also be aware that as this is on your land it is your responsibility to get the waste removed. You should report the site to your local council authority, then take reasonable steps to secure the waste so it can not be interfered with or added to. You should not take the waste to a licensed site yourself unless you hold a waste carriers license. If you do not hold the relevant license then get in touch with a waste management company that does. Remember it is a legal requirement to ensure that the company you choose to collect the waste holds the right license (Click here to check the register)
